Humming, singing and whistling can energy, improve mood, decrease anxiety. Singing increases oxygen, seems to affect neurotransmitters, so sing in the shower or join a choir. Notice how lighthearted singing makes you feel.

Music influences our respiratory rate, blood pressure, stomach contractions, and hormone levels, which in turn affect our immune system. Heart rates slow down or speed up to synchronize with the beat of the music and it can increase oxygenation and alter our brain waves (remember the relaxing alpha waves)
